My week has been a little hectic.
In addition to school starting, I've been busy with music practice and the football game yesterday, and my Wii U Gamepad broke.

Really, a lot has been on my mind.
Welp, gotta do my homework now.

I knew you were in your school band, but I didn't know you also were part of your football team, that's pretty cool!

That sucks about your Wii U though, I saw your post on Miiverse. Those pads are pretty much $150 used...and at that point you're better off buying a preowned Wii U. My cousin had this happen to his to when he dropped it down a flight of stairs onto a concrete pad. The touch screen still works though. I fixed it for him...you can buy a replacement screen off of Amazon.

If you'd like more information, I can give you the tutorial I followed and the Amazon product that he ordered. Be sure to have a very very small screw driver for the Wii U screws.

You misinterpret.
As a member of the band, I play at the football games alongside the rest of the band.
I don't actually play football.

I'm looking for a replacement screen.

Oh my bad, I thought you meant in addition to band you also were part of the football team. Anyway, that's still cool, hopefully all went well and you had fun.

I'll dig up the tutorial I used and find what replacement screen he bought on Amazon. Will update you when I find them...I think he bought the screen/touch pad combo.

You can forego that and just use the touch-pad you have if that's what you want to do, but I hear it's a lot easier to use the combo that's already put together opposed to having to remove the touch pad from the broken screen and end up breaking the pad in the process.

I'm sorry to hear that :/
I hope you get at least a little time to take a break and relax. Hopefully you get a new screen. I wish you luck on that homework.

Gosh diddle I'm so sorry your screen is all like that I do hope you get a new one soon, as Joe said hopefully it'll be better soon enough so you can get one less thing off your mind. And I also hope homework and band goes smoothly, at least you can say you're, as they say, "gettin'er' done". ^-^

Ok Drew so I was able to get in contact with my cousin and found the stuff he ordered.

Replacment Screen

It was actually closer to $45 when he bought it earlier last year, so it went down a bit. I'll have to figure out what tutorial I used though. You can buy the cheaper one that is just the screen, but you'll have to carefully remove the fused digitzer off of your old screen and put it on the new one. The thing is so flimsy...especially the tiny wire that connects to the lcd screen. So you may end up breaking it. That's up to you to decide.

YAHOO!!! I take it you were able to replace the screen successfuly? Nice work Drew! It's a lot of work and a lot of pieces, but it's a great feeling to have that all fixed. I was so worried I wouldn't be able to figure out how to put it all back together or I'd lose a piece when I was in the process of it lol. Plus all the tiny wires and floppy plastic pieces were so fragile.

Nice work!
